    Dyno Results: 2.0 Stinger LAP3

Hi everybody! As you may know, I have been running the LAP3 on the 2.0 Kia Stinger for a while now. Today, I finally had the opportunity to run the Stinger on a mustang dyno aka the ?heartbreaker?. Let me tell you - it definitely lived up to its name. I made 3 runs in total. One run was...

    2.0 Stinger LAP3 After 3,000 Miles

TJH, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I called up NGK and they said the plugs were the same heat range as the stock Stinger, but totally different otherwise. The car still feels better running the 1422. The guy I talked to recommended I go with NGK ILKR9Q7G and I just ordered a set...

    2.0 Stinger LAP3 After 3,000 Miles

NO! No need to change out the stock plugs to a colder set unless you are turning the boost up. Even at that it?s recommended that every 70-100 hp you should go to a colder plug. That is a guideline.

    2.0 Stinger LAP3 After 3,000 Miles

UPDATE: I?ve since regapped the plugs to .27. The car is more responsive. I guess every website saying ?gap a small engine, high boost engine spark plug small? was right. I was wrong. Everything so far feels great and I feel much more comfortable driving the vehicle. Still on setting 666 running...

    2.0 Stinger LAP3 After 3,000 Miles

So stock plug number is telling me it?s NGK SIZKR8H9G but I can?t find them anywhere. I?ll recheck the stock plugs tomorrow.

    2.0 Stinger LAP3 After 3,000 Miles

This is SPECIFICALLY for the 2.0 Warning: This will be a long post. First, I want to say that I have never used a piggyback before, but have had custom tunes done on a previous vehicle. I am not a mechanical engineer and don't pretend to be one. This has been MY experience with the LAP3...

Who's experienced issues with the Lap 3 Uncle Chip?

I can?t speak for the V6, but the little 4cyl is still running strong. I?ve had it installed for about 700 miles thus far. No knocking, misfires, etc. and I bring it to redline pretty often. I?m running it on the 93(94?) setting with 93 gas. I have not changed my plugs out and I have not...

Kia Stinger LAP3 Review for 2.0

I have redlined it plenty of times and I?m happy to report there?s no pinging to speak of. I am using the 93 octane setting and running 93 octane fuel. I can?t see a problem running 92 octane instead of 93 but I?m not that informed when it comes to octane differences. You might not pick up the...

Kia Stinger LAP3 Review for 2.0

It has been working flawlessly for the past 600 miles. The $$ per hp is pretty awesome. I want to get it on a dyno to get official numbers. There?s no other mod that will net you the gains that you get from the LAP3. Until a custom tune gets released for the 2.0, this is the best mod you could...

How To: Install LAP3 on 2.0 Stinger

So I finally got around to uploading pics of installing the LAP3 on the 2.0 Stinger. I have a review and a kind of installation write up on here already. I wanted to make sure there was no confusion as to how to instal this simple mod. On to the installation: Materials Needed: Zip Ties...
