    Baltimore/DC area Stinger owners?

There is a Maryland Kia Stingers Facebook group. There is some noise about interest in a meet on there, but not a lot of organization going on. I am super busy at work (work at a school and classes start next week) but once that dies down I may be able to organize.

I have the OEM 19s. I want 18s for winter tires.

SCCA Autocross class for GT2 RWD

The new FastTrack is out, and with it a response to my request to class the Stinger. GT is FS, 2.0T is GS. A little surprised on the 2.0T (my guess is it has to do with power-to-weight), but I was expecting the GT would be in FS.

    Baltimore/DC area Stinger owners?

Anyone on here from Maryland, DC, or NoVA? Let's get some meets together! I am up in Owings Mills, northwest of Baltimore, but I am used to driving to the DC area for meets.

    Brand new Stinger GT totaled

Eh, I'm not so sad. The owner can go out and buy a brand new one to replace it. I got my Stinger because I went to a track day in my Chevy SS and it was raining. I hit a puddle on the straight, spun out, and sideswiped the wall going backwards. The floorpan was slightly bent on the far left...

SCCA Autocross class for GT2 RWD

I thought I had submitted a reply to this, but apparently not. It seems unlikely to me. Currently, there are five cars with comparable classing: the 3-series, 4-series, ATS, Charger, and 300/300C. The 3-series, 4-series, and ATS are available in either RWD or AWD with a turbo 4 and a...

SCCA Autocross class for GT2 RWD

No way is it going to be HS. That's the slowest class. Not much besides NA 4 cylinders and a few older NA V6es in there. My guess is DS for the 2.0T (similar to older BMW 3-series for RWD and Subaru turbo cars like the WRX and Legacy GT for AWD) and FS (similar to other RWD turbo 6-cylinders)...

    First Ax impressions

FYI, I submitted a request to the SCCA Solo Committee asking them to class the GT. It has not been classed yet, so it technically has to run in SS, but will likely be in FS given its technical characteristics, so I am going to run it in that at an event I'm signed up for on July 7.
