    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

According to the mechanic when it was on the hoist, he said there is no camber adjustment. Then he described a slot with a lead-in that the top of the strut plugs into.

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

You're not the only one disappointed rmillersbs. My 91 Alfa Romeo 164S in sport mode was so stiff in recoil you could get all 4 wheels off the road on the right g bump. I really miss that 'buttoned down' feel that the road could not upset the car. In sport mode the Stinger is still too soft...

Thanks for the well wishes robz32. I'll get the specs on the forum asap.

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

Actually the settings are not in the alignment computer yet. The dealer is getting them from Kia Canada ASAP so I can do the alignment. There is no camber adjustment on the car. So all they are setting is toe and the car tracks straight for now. So whatever the 1.4" puts the toe out by, it's...

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

I just got back from a drive this afternoon. With the stock springs a drive would leave me troubled and disappointed frankly. Suspension is a big part of the enjoyment of a car's dynamics. Today I got home and told my wife I forgot how happy a new car makes me. I've heard millennial's refer...

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

No way. I don't do anything myself. Like oddball said in Kelly's Heroes: "I don't fix 'em. I just drive 'em". Even though I'm technical and mechanical, I had to keep a box of bandaids in my toolbox. I sold all my tools at a garage sale back in '83 when I was 22. I kept the box of bandaids...

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

Now all I need is a great place to go. Southern Ontario this time of year is as scenic as the moon and with just as many nice roads. When spring comes around I may take Rout 219 south of Buffalo into the Allegheny's. Great drive. Or I79 south of Erie to Pittsburgh for a more 'cover lots of...

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

Yes. 225 40-19 front and 255 35-19 read. That's the stock summer tires.

Eibach's Work Great... REALLY GREAT! Hi All. I finally made my decision and it was a good one. I'm so happy my eyes are watering. My Polar White Stinger has a set of Eibach's on it and the ride and handling are near perfect! Because I'm familiar with the law of diminishing returns, I'm...

    Shifting into Manual Mode

Good point. I'll send my inquiry to Lap3.

    Shifting into Manual Mode

It seems the only way to shift into manual mode is to use a paddle shifter. If you do this stopped, okay. If you do it while driving you must shift up or down. You can't shift into manual mode without shifting up or down. I HATE THAT! Am I missing something? I asked this in the chipping...

    Transmission Torque Limit

I would not make that assumption. The same transmission (8 speed auto with same housing) can have different internals designed for different torque limits.

Kia Stinger's transmission with centrifugal pendulum absorber

Does this mean the engine operates smoother at low rpm's like 1100 or 1200. It 'lugs' at an even lower rpm? I noticed in my driving that it feels really smooth at 1000 rpm under load. Never felt that way in other sixes. I always felt the need to upshift and stay above 1500 anyway in prior sixes.

    LAP3 USA Kia Stinger Tuning

Hi K8 Stinger Store. How about modifying the transmission mode a bit. I'd lover to pull on both paddles to go into a full manual mode while staying in whatever gear I'm in. Then it's full manual until you pull on both paddles again and it goes into auto again. It drives me nuts that it keeps...

Kia Stinger GT AWD on GRB Coilovers

Did some higher speed cruising over the weekend. 150 k for extended periods over mostly superhighway but that's where i drive. The suspension does stiffen up at that speed. No floating no pogoing even with some g bumps that I went over with the familiarity of day to day but this time at 150K...

    LAP3 USA Kia Stinger Tuning

Those are excellent questions Stinger. I'd love to chip my GT Limited but don't want to jump HP by 36%. That'll lead to other failures. I'll be happy with a 15 or 20% bump. So 420 bhp and I'm good. I'll be modifying the suspension first. Then the chip.

Not leaning at all. Just wanting to be aware of all options. I haven't heard back so I think they are out of consideration.

Kia Stinger GT AWD on GRB Coilovers

BTW. This is not a coil over kit. Note the rear springs are on a height adjustable sleeve.

Kia Stinger GT AWD on GRB Coilovers

@kaz is speaking from experience and I agree. Spring stiffness is not the way to improve a road car's suspension. It's fine for the track but not for the road. Instead it's all about damping from the shocks. In any event, I'll be sticking with same springs or same spring rates, or Eibach's...
