I would not make that assumption. The same transmission (8 speed auto with same housing) can have different internals designed for different torque limits.

Does this mean the engine operates smoother at low rpm's like 1100 or 1200. It 'lugs' at an even lower rpm? I noticed in my driving that it feels really smooth at 1000 rpm under load. Never felt that way in other sixes. I always felt the need to upshift and stay above 1500 anyway in prior sixes.

Those are excellent questions Stinger. I'd love to chip my GT Limited but don't want to jump HP by 36%. That'll lead to other failures. I'll be happy with a 15 or 20% bump. So 420 bhp and I'm good. I'll be modifying the suspension first. Then the chip.

Not leaning at all. Just wanting to be aware of all options. I haven't heard back so I think they are out of consideration.

BTW. This is not a coil over kit. Note the rear springs are on a height adjustable sleeve.

@kaz is speaking from experience and I agree. Spring stiffness is not the way to improve a road car's suspension. It's fine for the track but not for the road. Instead it's all about damping from the shocks. In any event, I'll be sticking with same springs or same spring rates, or Eibach's...
